The Ant Cafe

11 7th Street, Melville, Johannesburg

Since its inception in 1992, before SA became the rainbow nation, Ant Café had been serving pizza to the people of Jozi - and they come in droves, due the great service and the even better prices.

Think of The Ant Café as the smallest restaurant in Melville -not because of its teeny menu, but well, because it is in fact the smallest restaurant in Melville! Apparently dynamite comes in small pizza boxes too, because Ant Café is loved by many€and it's still one of the only places in Joburg where you can get a good pizza and a Coke for around 50 bucks.

Pull up a chair, order a delicious pizza or pasta, listen to Nina Simone's €œMy baby just cares for me playing in the background and you'll soon become a regular yourself!

Ant Café is especially cosy in winter, complete with crackling fireplace and delicious soups on offer.
